Friends, it is Christmas in July. No Toyota-thons, no Black Fridays, no Peppermint Mochas, but we do have a grumpy Doctor, a lizard woman from the dawn of time (and her wife), everyone's favorite potato, the second introduction of Clara, a nod to the airship mysteries of the 1890s, and both Richard E. Grant and Ian McKellan! It's clearly time for The Snowmen!

Well, friends, we do talk about The Age of Steel eventually. However, be prepared for us to spend a great deal of this episode talking about the news of Doctor Who's future. How we feel about it, how we hope it returns, maybe even who we'd like to see showrun it. And we also banter ideas about our own show's future.

If Season One of Modern Who saw the return of the Daleks, naturally Season Two had to bring back the Cybermen! But was Rise of the Cybermen really the right way to do it? This time around we look at this alternate universe way to bring back our steely boys, show Mickey the man he could be, keep Rose griefing over her dad, and ask the important question...do Cybermen prefer the poor & downtrodden over the socialite billionaire class?

Are ya ready kids?! Ohhhhh, who lives in the canals under Venice? Cree-py! Big! Fish! This episode we review The Vampires of Venice! The Doctor, fresh off a short stint as cake filling decides to take Amy and Rory on a romantic adventure and what's more romantic than 16th century Venice...where apparently fish people who come across as vampires, but aren't vampires, are terrorizing town. Plus we consider if this isn't just School Reunion with a mod pack installed!

This time the adventure continues as we look at Flesh and Stone, 2nd part after The Time of Angels last episode. We loved it, we love this era, and frankly it's late and I can't think of what else to say. Enjoy our discussion, friends!

Clutching my pillow tiiiiiight!! These angels, man! They want you to exit light and enter night because then you can't see them creeping up on you. That's right! The Weeping Angels are back, River Song is back, and we are back with a review of the Season 5 episode The Time of Angels!

The Beast Below first aired 16 years and a few days ago! If you listen closely in this episode, you can hear John and Taylor recount how old they were when this episode first aired. It's a teeny bit traumatic. However, it's not as traumatic as zapping the brain of a space whale so that it keeps carrying your entire country (but metal!) around on its back while you all choose to periodically learn the horrible truth and then choose to forget it all. That's really traumatic!

Back to watching some proper Doctor Who and it feels so good! It's almost like...we're young again! And wow, doesn't Tish Jones look familiar? Yes, friend of the show Mike Solko set us up to watch this episode post-Gally and we didn't realize until now that it was all a Gugu Mbatha-Raw connection! Well, how did we like getting back to some Modern Who and seeing more Mark Gatiss than we could ever really want? You've got to listen to find out!

Well, folks, we made it to the end of the war. And, frankly, we're kinda glad it's over. It's not great. We're not even sure it's good. As always, though, we find the bits we did like, try to make sense of the parts we didn't, and (if nothing else) celebrate the fact that we're getting back to some actual Doctor Who for our next episode!

Well, we're into the penultimate episode of The War Between the Land and the Sea and, really, we're experiencing a bit of an uneven episode. The drama is there, things feel a little hopeless, so let's give the Sea Devils even more superpowers, give Barclay and Salt some really awkward dialogue, and let's make sure Kate Stewart never rests again. We are really hoping that they're able to stick the landing with the final episode, but we'll see!
