We did it! We've reached the end of our Summer of Season Six with The Wedding of River Song! And, naturally, it had to go out with a bang! Time is rebelling against itself (and River's efforts to prevent her killing The Doctor), but The Doctor always has one extra trick up his sleeve! So join us as we wrap up this season, take a look at our updated stats, and get excited for some Classic Who next time!

"Closing time! You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!"

Actually, wait, no you can stay here! In fact, we'd prefer if you stayed here and listened to our review of the 6th season episode "Closing Time!" Yes, it's James Corden. Yes, the Doctor talks to a baby. Yes, we kind of wonder why we see Amy & Rory at all. But there's also ruminations on what Carpool Karaoke would be like on a Cybership and the power of parenthood to pull you through tough situations!

Well, it's an episode we knew we'd have to tackle eventually. The Girl Who Waited wasn't our favorite episode when it first aired. Over time, it appears that John has softened on it, but Taylor still feels like Moffat is putting Amy and Rory through the wringer any chance he gets. Join us as we process our feelings, talk about some Who News, and (as always) focus on the parts we enjoyed most!

Well, reviewing Night Terrors led us to an interest debate that we're going to take up closer to Halloween: what's the scariest episode of Doctor Who? Because Taylor definitely thinks this story could take the cake! Between the various tropes. a possible homage to Poltergeist, the transition to Peg Doll effects, and lots of spooky directorial choices...Night Terrors definitely rates high on the Behind the Couch scale!

The whole first half of Season 6 has led up to this! A GOOD MAN GOES TO WAR! The Doctor raises an army of friends and cameos and callsback to earlier in the season to storm Demon's Run to rescue Amy and her baby! But twists and turns abound in the Season 6 mid-season finale (remember when those were a thing?)! Join us for a romp through this adventure and then seek out Episode 205 for Let's Kill Hitler and the come back in two weeks for Night Terrors!

This week we watched The Almost People and realize that we probably should have watched it alongside The Rebel Flesh from last time. Sometimes the weight of having a massive reveal at the end (that doesn't impact the current episode) leads to an unbalanced storyline. And given a bit of the body horror present in this story, we wonder if the magical healing properties of the TARDIS are played a little too much toward the end. Regardless, we always find the bits we like most and try to focus on those!

Maybe we need to start calling this our Summer of Season Six as we continue to march through this era of Doctor Who. This week we watched The Rebel Flesh in which The Doctor, while trying to help folks through a solar tsunami accidentally gives that extra spark of life to programmable flesh and a whole slew of Spiderman pointing at himself memes ensue!

It's the episode we swore we'd already reviewed (but hadn't)! Our tour of Season 6 continues with The Doctor's Wife! Spoilers: we loved this story! And it absolutely holds up almost 12 years later. Granted, there are a couple things that still had us wondering, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment of meeting Idris and trying to outwit House! So sit back and enjoy (no biting!).

We keep that Season 6 train a'rollin friends with The Curse of The Black Spot! Flimsy pirate metaphors aside, we really enjoyed this episode, especially coming back to it basically knowing how it plays out and picking up on the cues and the story's own rules. Lots of great banter! Smith's ability to rattle off technobabble is without equal here! So swash those buckles and let's get into it!

Well, we couldn't leave last episode's cliffhanger alone and so we dove into DAY OF THE MOON with gusto and are loving just how much fun we remembered having with this era of Doctor Who! This time around, Moff leans hard on the horror tropes as The Silence become even more of a menace and Team TARDIS (plus Canton) do their best to defeat them. All that, plus we kick around some new shirt ideas!
