Podcasting in Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club

Spring Break is a right of passage. When your young it's the beginning of nice weather and Easter. We stop wearing layers of clothes and thinking of the end of the school year. What did you do over your Spring Break is what I want to know.

This will aways be a debate. Who has the better food Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, or Haitians. I'm repping PR so I don't wanna lose. What food do you think is the best I will do a poll with this podcast.

We finally have our own dance group at Couldert Clubhouse. These young girls had their 2nd performance at home on April 1st 2023. I am so proud of them. I sit down with 2 members from C Kids to talk about how they felt about the whole thing. I will place the link to their dance and please support them in the up coming events across the clubhouses.

It's that time of year. Right after spring break New York State testing starts in the Department of Education across the state. This testing is on ELA, Science, and Math. This testing effects our members in many ways. Today's podcast is all about how they feel about the testing.

I would like to welcome the members of MS 101 who came prepared to talk about an important topic that many families are dealing with mental health. I'm so glad they came and jumped right on in to do this podcast. It is very important to get as much information as possible about this topic. It's a day to have fun and learn about our programs. We will also have tables with information about many different services available for the community. We will also be giving food from our pantry to anyone who wants to grab a bag. Come enjoy all the dances, podcasts and many giveaways.

These interns should start their own podcast. I like it when people like to be creative. I hope they take my advice and start a podcast about their High School Years. I would listen to it. Good luck ladies and come back and let me know what you thought about the whole process.

I can't believe I'm about to say this bring back the video stores. I worked at a video store named VideoRoom for a big part of my life. It was a lot of fun. I could watch any movie I wanted for free. Today's youth will never know what it was to walk into a store and look through boxes to find a movie. In this podcast we talk about movies and classic movies. Well not really to classic these members are about 10 years old and never saw or held a VHS. Shout out to all my old staff, Peter, Howard, Bill, Tenny, Lou, Greg, Lorrin, E.J, Tyrone, and Mike we had some good times.
