Today PBC Minister to Families Leslie Brogdon shares an encouraging word and lots of resources!
Free Coloring Page:
Illustrated ministry is sending coloring pages and we've attached one for you to share with your children while you listen to our podcast. Coloring can be stress-relieving, so maybe the adults reading this will want to use it too. Everybody could use a little intentionality around stress relief after the last couple of weeks!
Godly Play:
Our younger students, through Easter, will be following a lesson called "The Faces of Easter." This is seven weeks worth of lessons, but you can condense it if the kids are really invested and listening. The older kids recently received this lesson in two weeks, so they may be able to help younger siblings review it at home. Here is a youtube video with the lesson. I've also attached the script for the lesson. We were lucky enough to have Sarah Jones create original artwork for this as well, so I'm attaching those pictures if you'd like to print them out at home. If you would like some additional Godly Play lessons for your family then I am happy to send videos, lessons, etc. Email me at [email protected]
Blurb for Additional Family Activities:
If you'd like a daily activity to do with your family to focus on faith formation, then check out this post about the lent tree. You can spend some time catching up and creating ornaments.
For older students who are starting to be more aware of sin, I think this is an activity worth considering, or shifting. I've created the visual in our home in the past when we had a young teen living with us, and the visual alone was beneficial.
