I know you’re busy today and I’m sure you’re doing a lot of good things, but be careful that you don’t sacrifice the best on the altar of the good. Make sure that you enjoy the best and most important part of life today – intimacy with Jesus.

In Luke 4 we read about the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. Verse 1 says, “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.” Jesus was not led into the wilderness by the devil. The verse says He was led into the wilderness by the Spirit! Jess found “Power Through The Wilderness.”

In this podcast Daniel Kolenda teaches a lesson that we can learn from, “The Disciple that Jesus loved”, John the Disciple.

Jesus said to a young man in Luke 9:60, “Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.”

Many people cannot understand why Jesus was so urgent with that young man. Daniel Kolenda examines this response from Jesus to this young man.

In John 15:5, Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

I want you to notice something interesting about he way that last sentence is worded. Jesus doesn’t say, “Apart from me you can’t do anything.” It’s slightly different. He says, “Apart from me you CAN DO nothing.” It’s time for a “Can Do Attitude” adjustment.

One of the characteristics of God’s will is that God calls us to do the impossible! But to face the impossible requires faith. Satan knows that if he can inject unbelief into our spirits, he can effectively rob us of God’s best for our lives. But you can overcome, “Impossible Odds” with Jesus Christ.

Investors often “diversify” their investments because if one venture doesn’t work out, they want to have something else to fall back on. So a common idiom in the business world is, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” But you can trust, “God’s Basket,”

I think one of the most tragic places you could ever visit is a cemetery, not because of the people who are buried there, but because of what is buried within the people who are buried there. In the cemetery lies a lot of “Buried Treasure.”

If you saw someone about to fall off the edge of a cliff, you wouldn’t sit down to send them an e-mail about their precarious situation would you? Of course not. You would immediately shout to them, run to them, reach to them, and so on. Here’s your “Million Dollar Challenge.”

There is no more important or urgent matter in the universe than the salvation of the lost. Its no wonder Jesus’s last words on earth were instructions to take the gospel to the ends of the world. To “Go & Preach!”
