Joy Silver has over 40 years of hands-on experience in healthcare, affordable housing, senior living, community planning and business and economic development.

She is currently the Riverside County Democratic Party Chair, a founder of the activist group Courageous Resistance-Indivisible of the Desert, and former Vice President of Democratic Women of the Desert. She became a California state licensed senior care administrator and ran a number of senior care residences for Merrill Gardens. Prior to moving west, she was Chief Strategy Officer of a New York City medical center, where she led a team of medical professionals and support staff in providing quality comprehensive care to more than 40,000 patients each year, serving hundreds of thousands.
