1RPH's Crys Clitheroe visited OzComicCon Canberra at EPIC last weekend and spoke to: Zac Fitz-Roy, general manager of Expertise Events which brings the Comics Con to life, in particular asking Zac to explain the 'Hidden Disabilities' banner erected at the entrance to the show. Zac explained that the banner is to acknowledge that not all disabilities are visible and that some people may need to be supported for reasons not obvious to plain sight. Simon Dodds of Headspace, the national youth mental health foundation, who had a kiosk at the event. Ian Bennett of Dice 4 Diversity, a safe roleplay gaming space for neurodiverse youth. as well as to the various cosplayers (costumed role players) enjoying themselves at this event. (Crys themself was in costume as a DC Comics character as they strolled through the convention, interviewing and taking photographs to be uploaded to our Instagram page, so be on the lookout for them!)
