The St. Louis Blues win!!!!

Well, it took all seven games to decide, but in the end, the St. Louis Blues are your 2019 Stanley Cup champs! What an incredible series this turned out to be. We hope that you all enjoyed it as much as we here at “All Pucked Up” did.

On today’s show, we discuss both teams… dissecting the good and the bad that we saw during the cup series, and what direction we now see these teams headed in the offseason.

We also take a quick look around the league, and offer our opinions on what moves several other teams may make as free agency begins. If we’re correct, it’s going to be another busy offseason.

Well, folks… time is just zipping by, and with that, we’ve finally reached that moment that we’ve all been waiting for all season long:

The Stanley Cup Finals.

Now, be honest: If we told you at the beginning of the season that we’d be looking at a matchup between the Blues and Bruins to determine who would hoist the cup… would you have believed us?

Nah. We wouldn’t have believed it either. LOL

Both teams have really kicked things into high gear, however, and it looks like we might have a great series ahead of us. On today’s show, Chris and Scott talk about what to expect, as well as give us their predictions for Stanley Cup champs!

We also take a look at the finalists for this years NHL awards. From the Vezina to the Hart, the Masterton to the King Clancy, we discuss the nominees, and tell you who we think should take home the hardware.

One today’s show, we take a look back at the Boston Bruins victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Bruins, who will be making their first appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals since 2011, will be playing the winner of the Sharks / Blues series. We’ll take a look at the latest from that series as well, and also let you know who we think would be the better matchup for these hard-hitting Bruins.

During the second round, we discuss the “no call” hand pass which lead to the Sharks OT victory in game 3 of their series against the Blues. This seems to be just another example of why the rules in the NHL need to be reviewed… and most likely changed. Chris and Scott have a LOT to say about what needs to be done to correct things in the offseason.

On today’s show, we revisit a conversation we had several months ago, when we were previewing several new toy lines introduced at this year’s New York Toy Fair. Well, here we are now in May, and those toys are finally hitting the shelves in local stores. Retro Star Wars, Marvel Legends, MOTU Super 7’s… even McFarlane’s Game of Thrones….. they’re all finally here. With those products now in hand, has our initial opinions changed… or are we still feeling the love like before?

We also talk about the final season of HBO’s “Game Of Thrones”. It’s been years since the last season aired… and expectations were through the roof. Unfortunately, the early buzz is that someone may have dropped the ball. How did one of televisions most beloved series suddenly take a nose-dive in the ratings? We discuss what has been the biggest disappointments so far.

Well, we’re almost through the second round… and still, the surprises just keep on coming!

The ‘Canes are headed to the conference finals after sweeping the Isles. We now know that they’ll be playing the Bruins in a series that promises to be just as entertaining as anything we’ve seen up til now. In the West, both series are knotted up at three games a piece, with the deciding games to be played within the next 48 hours.

So what kind of predictions do our guys have this week? We break it all down in the opening round.

In the second round, we take an in-depth look at what these unexpected series results might mean for the NHL. Carolina, Dallas, St. Louis, Colorado…. nobody expected these teams to still be playing right now. Given the fact that many of these remaining teams lack “big name” star players, are fans still tuning in to watch these games? Or have they too packed it in for the season?

Welcome back, everyone!

Well, it was an exhausting weekend for most of us… considering that “Avengers: Endgame” and the latest episode of “Game Of Thrones” completely drained every bit of emotion that you probably ever had.

I have to admit, it’s been the better part of a week since I first sat down in that movie theater to watch A:E, and I STILL can’t stop talking about it…

Just crazy.

Today we invite a few friends to stop by and share their thoughts on both, and talk about what they think might lie ahead.

Most importantly, did both live up to the hype?

Be warned… there are TONS of spoilers! If you don’t want us to ruin the movie or the show for you, maybe it’s best to go watch them before you give this episode a listen.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a day in Lumpa Land without some type of self-deprecating humor to set the tone. Today we open the show with a conversation about awkward sexual experiences we’ve each had in the past.  You know the ones from when you were a teenager, and you’d go to any length to get laid? Yeah… those. Get ready to hear about some complete train wrecks. LOL

So let’s be honest. How many people out there really thought that after just one week into the 2019 NHL playoffs, we’d be looking at the Tampa Bay Lightning…. the best team BY FAR during the regular season… on the verge of being swept by the 8th seed Columbus Blue Jackets?

And how about those Islanders?!! Anybody wanna tell us that they had New York going up three games to none to start this series off?

The playoffs, as we so often say, are the start of a whole new season, and just as we are seeing now…. ANYTHING can happen.
