In our second series of City of Austin Council candidate forum on the environment we focused on District 7. The candidates for District 7:

District 7 Candidates -

Leslie Pool - Is the incumbent and we had her in for a prerecorded interview.

Natalie Gauldin - The other candidate for District 7. She was live in the studio with Shades of Green. She is now a technical writer, and formerly an elementary school teacher in Austin. She is a native of Austin.

Austin City Council Candidate Forum on The Environment

In our second series of City of Austin Council candidate forum on the environment we focused on District 4. The candidates for District 4:

Greg Casar - The incumbent, was presented on a pre-recorded interview.

Louis Herrin III - Was in the studio live with Shades of Green. He currently works as an environmental engineer for the state Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ),

Gonzalo Camacho - Is a transit engineer and was invited to participate in the forum but he did not return requests to appear on the show.

Shades of Green host John Hoffner talks with Laure-Jeanne Davignon, the Director of Credentialing for the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) at the Solar Power International Conference (SPI)October 21, 2014 in Las Vegas. Ms. Davignon discusses the importance of a highly trained solar workforce and the need for skilled educators as the solar industry grows exponentially.
