Hello again! It didn’t take quite as long to get back. By 2030, I should be posting every 2 months. Anyway, this is a little bit of a bridge episode, getting ready to launch into some specific topics of the early 1800s. Stay tuned and watch this space!

Well Shoot! I had this finished before the holidays, but alas forgot to post it! But back in 2026, better than ever! In this episode, we get kind of a coda on our dive into Lewis and Clark and take a brief look at the life of Sacagawea, possibly the most famous person to come out of the Corps of Discovery. Hope 2026 is off to a great start for everyone!

Well, it has bee way too long since the last cast, but here we are. This time, we talk about one of the lesser known members of the Corps of Discovery, York, Clark’s personal slave. I hope to be able to be a lot more consistent with the casts in the future.

In this podcast episode, we wrap up the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The Corps of Discovery returns east to seemingly endless fame and fortune. Unfortunately, sometimes the bright lights are too much.

It has been way too long since I dropped a podcast, thanks for sticking with me. In this episode, we continue our journey out west with Lewis and Clark. Do I get carried away with the royalty-free sound effects page I found? Only one way to find out!

This took a long time to get to market! You can hear it in my intro where I talk about the end of the year! I was going to edit it out, but what the heck, goes to show that I do take my time on this, if a little too much. Anyway, in this episode of the podcast, we delve into the journey of Lewis and Clark, and a couple of other journeys into Louisiana besides. It was a fun one to do and I’m glad it’s finished. Of course, Lewis and Clark are just getting started!

In this episode, we delve into the purchase of the Louisiana Territory by the United States. A little background on the territory and then how the deal comes together pretty quickly after some fast maneuvering by Jefferson and his administration.

In this month’s episode, we take a look at the pivotal Supreme Court case of Marbury v. Madison and an international conflict on the high seas, namely the Mediterranean. It’s the first Barbary War, 1801-1805. Also here is the link to donate to help victims of flooding near Derna as mentioned in the cast.

The election of 1800 was finally over and Jefferson finally took over. It didn’t take long for major changes to take place. We also delve a little into Jefferson as a person and what created his worldview.

Adams is off the stage and a new president will be sworn in, but who? It’s Jefferson v. Burr in the winter of 1801!
