Podicus Wrecks

Ever wonder how it came to be that both DC Comics and Marvel comics have had characters named Captain Marvel? Well, we're going to tell you how that came to be. It's a fun tale of copyrights and trademarks, and knowing how to exploit them. Seriously, I promise it's fun. Also, Casey goes into a little detail about his entry in ComicdomWrecks.com's Saturday Morning Cartoon feature, looking at an episode of Spider-man and his Amazing Friends.

In this week's episode, after a few of us went to see Black Panther, so we are having a spoiler filled discussion about it. This week, we are discussing the Academy Award nominated Logan. This is a spoiler-filled episode, as we run down the plot points of the movie and our opinions on them. However, before doing that, we run through our impressions on the Venom, Deadpool 2, and Ant-Man and the Wasp trailers.

This week, Jacob stops by to educate Anthony and I on the classic X-Men story Age of Apocalypse. It has everything you want from a giant, alternate timeline crossover. There are plenty of deaths. Many X-Men are the opposite of how they normally, you know, because of it being an alternate timeline. Often nonsensical story telling. Plot points that you may not want to think about too long. Epic moments. You get the idea. We then spend the last 13 minutes or so talking about this year's Royal Rumble matches.

This week, Anthony joins me and we discuss the premiere of Black Lightning on The CW. Also, since I had just watched most of the first season of Timeless, we have a short discussion on how Time Travel is portrayed.

So, if you want to know some overall thoughts and where we think it stands with other Star Wars movies, you are safe for the first 9 minutes. Past that, we are discussing everything in the movie. You've been warned.

Anthony and J. R. take a look back on what they played, saw, and read in 2017.

Have you been wondering about what's been going with Marvel's mutants, the X-Men? Well, so have I. So I went to our resident X-pert, Jacob, to find out just what has been going on. Needless to say, he has some thoughts on the matter.

In celebration of Festivus today, we got together to record our grievances for the past year. Enjoy.

This week, with the mid-season finales, we're discussing the state of the CW DC shows (Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow) and The Walking Dead.
