We are introduced to the giant space slug when it almost consumes the Millennium Falcom in Empire Strikes Back, they don't officially get the name 'exogorth' until 2015 in a reference book titled Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know. These massive silicon based creatures were conceptulized by the talented Ralph McQuarie and have been visualized in Star Wars film and comics alike, creating a sense of doom lurking in asteroids. 

The Acklay species is quite a terrifying design, however uniqueness of the design, is a pleasantly original one. We talk about the design of the creature, in-universe and out. Oh, and the one on Geonosis is another unfortunate victim of serial killer Obi-Wan of course.

Today's episode revisits one of our earlier episodes 'Making of the Stormtrooper Helmet' and who the real designer behind the Stormtrooper helmet was. Lis Moore was an amazing artist who brought illustrations to life and the rightful designer behind the stormtrooper helmet. We are eternally grateful to Liz's work and have one of our Podlings to thank for introducing us to her.

We all grew up with either Lego or Star Wars, and in some cases even both. They story of Lego and Star Wars have similar, humble, financially-troubled beginnings and we're here to talk about that but also some interesting developments over years and some of our personal interactions.

AT-AT Walkers are big metal dumpsters...and if you listen to this episode you'll understand why. But gosh darn how iconic are these? It was such a scary sight seeing these colossal janky machines slowly stumbling towards the rebels for the first time. Anyway, we talk about the design and how these machines were almost going to jump! Terrifying.

The twin suns of Tatooine are so iconic that the second you see two suns, you think STAR WARS! We dig a little deeper into the significance of them and go over a LucasFilm article on Defining Moments.

How good is costume design though? We have to show love to the amazing costume artist, Trisha Briggar and of course thank her for all of the work that she did for the Star Wars universe. The prequels would not have been the same without her talent and direction. *clap *clap

It's always interesting learning about George's mindset with anything to do with Star Wars. What's also very interesting is learning what his favourite parts, shots, characters or whatever are.
