  • Melodies of a Not so Distant Past (With Maureen Murphy)

This is the 4th installment of the Artist Spotlight Series. Scotty & Nate could not be more excited to share this extended conversation with astoundingly talented vocalist Maureen Murphy. After digging into her personal background and how her career in music developed, they launch into a deep discussion on all things collaborating with STS9. Starting in the early days of meeting Alana Rocklin performing in a cover band in Nashville, sharing the stage with the band everywhere from the Tabernacle to Red Rocks, and getting into the studio to record "The Universe Inside," Maureen spares no detail and shares some never before heard anecdotes about her part in the legacy of STS9. They listen and reflect on some clips of her live performances throughout the conversation before presenting Maureen with the first ever fan-sourced POD>>>Podular gift. You guys have the opportunity to be a part of it as well! Sound off in the comments with what you love about Maureen Murphy and it will be added to our token of appreciation for her. After that, the boys share their top 5 wishlists of Maureen Murphy covers with STS9. Thanks for watching/listening, and we'll see you next week for another "Wave Spell" series episode. The Universe Inside 2016.08.27 - https://sts9.bandcamp.com/album/20160827-verizon-wireless-amphitheatre-alpharetta-ga

This episode is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of "Artifact." Scotty and Nate begin by featuring the freshly released studio recording of "Glass z-13" before making some predictions for STS9's first show of 2025 on Jam Cruise 21. After that, they jump right into the band's 2005 album and break it down track by track. They feature audio and video clips from some of their favorite moments in the live setting for these songs throughout. Then we get a "Give & Hot Take" from Scotty before the boys unveil their dream setlists for a hypothetical Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring STS9. We feature some of our favorite setlists from listeners as well. We'll be back next week to recap and review the soundboards from Jam Cruise! But before then, we want to know - what do you think will be the next studio single released by the band as we prepare for an ablum release later this year? Sound off in the comments! • The Last 50,000 Years (W/ Taylor Houston Morgan)

On the precipice of a new studio release coming from STS9, Nate & Scotty are thrilled to present the 3rd installment of the Artist Spotlight Series featuring graphic artist and brand designer Taylor Houston Morgan. The 3 of them discuss Taylor's upbringing and roots as an artist along with his origin story as a live music enthusiast and eventual STS9 fanatic. After that, they dive into how his artistic career blossomed into a deep catalog of collaborations with the band on merch, show posters, and album artwork. As a lifelong fan of Cowboys football, Taylor shares some of his favorite players from franchise history and personifies them into STS9 songs. They finish up with a "Give & Hot Take" from Nate, then feature some listener submissions from last week's prompt - top 5 people you'd want to take to their 1st Sector 9 show. For this week's prompt with Super Bowl LIX coming up we want to hear from you guys - if STS9 was headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show, what would the setlist look like? Let us know in the comments and have fun with this one! Note any artist features or theatrics that you'd like to see. • Reeks of Patchouli

T.W.E.L.V.E. shows and counting! Nate & Scotty start things out with an initial outlook on 2025 STS9 and where they'd like to see the band play this year. Then, they unveil a new "Wave Spell" format for episodes like these during dormant times of STS9 where we don't have shows to preview/review or guests to feature. This consists of each host sharing 3 undisclosed clips with each other with the intent of blowing each other's minds. 1 from the Murph era, 1 from the Alana era, and 3rd "wild card" clip from the era of their choosing. Let us know in the comments whose clips you think were hotter in round 1! After that, Scotty shares some wholesome listener-provided content along with a "Give & Hot Take." The boys wrap things up by highlighting some of their favorite answers to last week's listener prompt about sharing/preparing a meal for the band members. Sorry for the delay, but the boys are finally back at it with their 2024 New Year's run recap episode. They give a full rundown of all 3 nights with setlist commentary, clips, and overall vibe narrations from Nate who had boots on the ground in New Orleans. After that, Scotty shares a very in-depth version of "Give & Hot Takes." Next week, we will break down our top 10 favorite moments from 2024 as a whole.
