Right off the bat, the video jumps into the big news: Alyssa and Dallin are expecting baby number two!. They share that the baby is due in October. Alyssa was just one day late on her period when she decided to take a pregnancy test. Despite initially thinking she wasn't pregnant, the test came back positive, leading to a truly shocked reaction. Alyssa's immediate thought was, "Oh my god i didn't think I was pregnant my heart is pounding i need Tyler to come in here how do I get him to come in here".
Dallin was equally surprised. He was in the kitchen with Alyssa's brother, Boston, who was suggesting a parasite cleanse. Alyssa took the test to ensure she wasn't pregnant before starting the cleanse, as her family "loves their parasite cleanses". Dallin recounted his confusion, stating, "Why are you taking a pregnancy test?" as they both thought it was unlikely. He then heard Alyssa yell from the bedroom, "Do I didn't know what to do cuz I was like 'How do I get him in here?'", followed by the big reveal.
Interestingly, Alyssa hadn't even planned to film the test for YouTube, convinced it would be negative after having a couple of negative tests weeks prior and feeling no symptoms. This unexpected positive result made the moment even more genuine.
After sharing the news with each other, they had to figure out how to navigate the parasite cleanse situation with Boston. Alyssa had to pretend she took the medicine while keeping their secret. They were also further along in this pregnancy when they found out – almost 7 weeks compared to just 4 weeks with their first child, Lena.
The timing of the announcement was also quite eventful. Just two days later, they were heading to see Dallin's family because his brother Colton was returning home from his mission. Similar to when they found out about Lena, they were with family. However, they decided to hold off on sharing their news to ensure Colton's homecoming wasn't overshadowed, as he was coming home for surgery.
A couple of weeks later, they planned to tell both Dallin's and Alyssa's families. Their chosen method was adorable: getting a "big sister" shirt for Lena. It was fun to see who caught on quickly to the message on Lena's shirt. Their moms figured it out fast, while Alyssa's dad even hilariously noted that he thought he was wearing the same outfit as in Lena's announcement video. Telling Dallin's family was smoother as they had a place to change Lena's shirt. However, with Alyssa's family, the reveal happened at a restaurant. Alyssa's brothers, Brock and Alex, are currently on two-year missions, so Alex had to be told separately over the phone. There was even a minor hiccup when Dallin couldn't initially find shorts to go with Lena's "big sister" shirt in the car!
The family reactions were classic, with lots of disbelief and excitement, like "No way!," "You're lying!," and "Are you serious?". Lena even adorably declared, "I'm not going to be a big sissy!". Friends and other family members also expressed their surprise and excitement. Poor Boston was the last to find out since he was in Minnesota!
Soon after returning from Nashville, they had their first doctor's appointment and were able to hear the baby's heartbeat, which was a very exciting moment. It felt surreal for them to bring Lena to see her future sibling. Lena already shows awareness, pointing to herself when they ask "Where's the baby?" and to Alyssa's belly when prompted. They've also observed Lena interacting sweetly, albeit with some "love aggression," with other babies.
Alyssa noted that pregnancy with a toddler is definitely a different experience, requiring her to chase Lena around while feeling sick. However, she mentioned feeling less sick this time, which is a plus. They also compared cravings. Alyssa has been craving Craft mac and cheese and apples, similar to her cravings with Lena. However, a new craving this time is Top Ramen. Despite the mix of salty and sweet cravings, they confirmed it's not twins. The age gap between Lena and the new baby will be around 21 months, which they are very excited about. They anticipate a busy household with two under two for a few months.
They even cleverly used their family picture session as their announcement photos, with Alyssa teasing on TikTok about viewers unknowingly helping her pick her announcement outfit. They also reflected on how many significant life moments have occurred around Red Rock.
Looking ahead, they are trying to cherish their remaining time with just Lena. Dallin is planning to install a fire pit in the backyard for relaxing with the new baby. Get ready for chaos and laughter as Salish faces her biggest challenge yet: surviving 10 brothers! In this hilarious and suspenseful video from Jordan Matter, Salish's dream of a luxurious family vacation to Mexico is threatened when someone sabotages the trip by stealing all the passports!
Now, Salish has 24 hours to uncover the culprit among her ten brothers. If she succeeds in finding the thief, she gets the key (presumably to the passports or a reward) and a candy basket, and most importantly, she gets to go on the trip with the family. But it won't be easy! Knowing Salish, she's going to put her brothers through the craziest challenges you can imagine. Their dad even feels a little bad for them!
The suspects are many, and Salish isn't holding back. Her initial interrogation tactics involve some drastic measures, like throwing her brothers fully clothed into a freezing cold pool if they deny stealing the passports. She doesn't believe their denials and makes it clear that they are all suspects. Even their dad becomes a suspect because it's super expensive to take ten kids on vacation, making him a potential saboteur looking for a refund. Salish believes she's good at knowing when people are lying.
As the video progresses, Salish devises a series of creative and entertaining challenges to smoke out the thief:
The Cold Pool Challenge: Salish makes her brothers stay in the freezing pool to see who gives up first. The last suspects to leave the pool are deemed innocent, with the logic that the thief, who was seen shivering on security footage after jumping into the pool in disguise, wouldn't endure the cold.
The Strength Challenge: After their dad is caught on camera seemingly trying to pop a tire on their vehicle, Salish organizes a strength test using a punching bag. Whoever gets the highest score is eliminated as she believes the thief might not be strong enough to fully sabotage the trip. Surprisingly, the football player doesn't win, and after a strong punch, their dad is cleared as a suspect.
The Money Grab Challenge: Reviewing security footage, Salish notices the thief is uncoordinated while trying to unlock the passport drawer. To test hand-eye coordination, she throws a large amount of money and whoever grabs the most is considered innocent.
The Scavenger Hunt Challenge: The thief's nervousness and poor searching skills are evident on the security footage as they fail to find the passports even when they are in plain sight. Salish sets up an Easter egg hunt, adding the extra challenge of hitting the participants with water balloons to increase their stress. The person who finds the most eggs under pressure is deemed innocent.
The Jump Scare Challenge: Another clue from the security footage reveals that the thief is easily jump-scared when the mom unexpectedly comes out of the laundry room. Salish sets up a balloon-popping challenge where the person with the smallest reaction to the balloon popping is innocent.
The Extreme Race: The thief's agility is showcased on the security footage as they jump over furniture to avoid being caught by the mom. Salish organizes a race, but with a twist: the loser is innocent. This leads to some unexpected results and strategic (or not-so-strategic) falling.
The Impossible Puzzle Challenge: The thief's lack of problem-solving skills is highlighted when they try to sink a suitcase in the pool. Salish presents an impossible puzzle (making a square with three lines), believing whoever can solve it must be innocent. The solution turns out to be a riddle, involving drawing a square with the lines inside.
The Sour Candy Challenge: With only two suspects remaining, Salish finds the thief's disguise and a candy basket, noting that the thief didn't eat the sour candies. She devises a final test: both remaining suspects must eat extremely sour Warheads simultaneously. Whoever makes a sour face first is the thief. However, this plan backfires when neither of the final two shows a reaction.
Just when Salish thinks she's hit a dead end, a closer look at the security footage reveals the shocking truth: it wasn't one of her brothers who stole the passports – it was the boyfriend! The footage shows her sneaking around suspiciously while the final two brothers were eating the sour candies. Salish confronts the boyfriend, who initially denies it but is ultimately exposed when Salish finds the passports in her suitcase. The boyfriend's motive? A simple note expressing how much she'll miss him.
But the surprises don't end there! After the girlfriend is seemingly revealed, the real thief steps forward: it was the athlete brother all along! His surprising confession reveals his deep fear of flying, which was the motivation behind his attempts to sabotage the trip. He felt pressure as the oldest son and was scared of the long flight to Mexico.
In a heartwarming moment, their dad reassures him, emphasizing that he can always talk to his family. Despite intentionally losing the race, the athlete is welcomed on the trip. And the best part? To accommodate his fear, the family decides to drive to Mexico!
