Texas Chainsaw 3D: The sequel to the original that pretends like the other movies don't exist, including the original! What is there to say about this movie? Adam and Evan found a way to talk about it for about an hour, so there must be something. Or not. Stylish Leatherface is fun, as is guessing the protagonists true age.

Director: John Luessenhop

Writer: Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan, Kirsten Elms, Stephen Susco, Kim Henkel, Tobe Hooper

Starring: Alexandria Daddario, Dan Yeager, Trey Songz, Scott Eastwood, Tania Raymonde, Bill Moseley

The 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a mega hit for the franchise and brought new fans to Leatherface's lair. So to follow up, three years later, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning came into theaters to show audiences about the origins of Leatherface and his family. Is this a necessary or even good movie? Listen in to find out!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

Director: Jonathan Liebesman

Writer: Sheldon Turner

Cast: Jordana Brewster, Taylor Handley, Diora Baird, Matt Bomer, R. Lee Ermey, Andrew Bryniarski

Nope, it's not Star Trek or Degrassi, it's the "next generation" for Leatherface and his ever growing family. This time around he has some A-list stars to give him some Tinsel Town street cred. Is the movie good because of it? Hmmm, take a listen.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation

Director/Writer: Kim Henkel

Starring: Renee Zellweger, Matthew McConaughey, Robert Jacks, Tonie Perensky, Joe Stevens and Lisa Marie Newmyer

Leatherface and the clan are back, or are they? What happens when a messy script meets the glorious golden chainsaw of Hercules? Maybe this movie. Listen in to find out!

Director: Jeff Burr

Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Ken Foree, Kate Hodge, William Butler, R.A. Mihailoff

SLASHER IS BACK.

As you may have heard in our last episode, we are moving back to our slasher sub genre study. We begin by filling in the holes of existing series we've started. Our very first podcast was Tobe Hooper's original "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", so what better than to pick up right from our roots! "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" came 12 years after the original, and with a different tone.

Director: Tobe Hooper

Starring: Dennis Hopper, Caroline Williams, Jim Siedow, Bill Moseley and Bill Johnson.

With the closing of the home invasion sub genre reviews approaching, the tension of knowing what will come next for the PodSlash crew is high. That was a very complicated sentence to incorporate the words "high" and "tension" to relate back to the title of the movie. Just listen to the podcast friends.

Film- High Tension

Director- Alexandre Aja

Starring- Cecile de France, Maiwenn

We are trudging through this home invasion series, and surprise, it's another foreign film! "Them" is the little movie that could, but do Adam and Evan agree on how successful it was? Listen in to find out!

Directed by: David Moreau, Xavier Palud

Starring: Olivia Bonamy, Michael Cohen

This week Adam and Evan review "The Strangers" 2008 with Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman. How do the three stalker killers stack up? How is it as a "realistic" horror? Listen in!
