Helping The Planet With The Extroverted Introvert

Poetic Advice for the 21st Century: Keep Your Mind Gentle:

Listen Later

From my first book of poetry: Singsong Crows and Alphabet Soup. Keep your mind gentle.
Like summer breezes.
Move gently.
Like the Anhinga bird.
Keep your mind gentle.
If you do not
poison will spread
through your veins
and ooze from your pores
undetected until the acid
singes your sinews.
Keep your mind gentle,
lest pain seep into your muscles
like molten lava.
Lest stiffness in your joints
stoop your back
and dull the luster in your eyes.
Keep your mind gentle.
Or words shall falter
between your mind
and your lips.
Keep your mind gentle.
