If we praised God from now until eternity, it still wouldn't be enough. Our incredible God deserves unending praise.

They say tough times never last, only tough people do.
But, can someone explain to me why 'tough times don dey last?'
Life seems to be going on a downward spiral, consisting more of bad news than good news and day by day, we experience failure after failure with no light at the end of the tunnel.
How can we find the strength to go on, to hold on, when our bodies no longer want to move? When our spirits fail?

Letting go isn't easy.  Like we learnt earlier this week, it can be hard to relinquish control over things that matter to us. It can also be hard to step aside and let God do His work of breaking and healing.
But as the words of these psalms and hymns serve to remind us, we're in safe hands.
We always will be.

Letting go can be hard, especially of situations that we try desperately to control.
How many times have we held on so tightly to something, that in the end we were left feeling bruised and battered?
Why is it so hard for us to cast our cares on someone greater and mightier than we are?
Giving up control, it's easier said than done right?

These psalms and hymns serve to remind you that you are not alone. We all long for satisfaction, we yearn to have our hunger and thirst sated. David knew that only God could satisfy Him, and the writers of these hymns knew it, like they knew their own name, that no one else could fill their heart but Jesus.
I hope these words take root in your heart, and I hope even more, that the Spirit of God Himself fills you until you thirst for nothing else again.
