A few people out there questioned why Punta Rocka finds itself on the WSL schedule, especially after J Bay got cut, but this year we saw why.
In a wildly entertaining event, we saw the limits of progression pushed by Yago Dora, JJF and others too. Notable mentioned to R Cal, LOB and Molly too.
On the ladies side, Caroline went back to back with some insanely accurate back side surfing, taking down the force of Gabriella Bryan in the final.
JJF and Yago Dora where easily the form surfers on the mens side of the event. John landing a perfect 10 in his semi final and Yago comboing Medina!
John took out the final, his first event win in forever!
