Episode 117 - A Pod Of Two Halves. Calling Out The WSL & Calling Out What Surf Clips To Watch

As the title says, this is a podcast of two halves. 

In the back end of this podcast, we speak about the WSL and the newly released 2025 tour schedule, with the focus on the Abu Dhabi event and how this is a major issue.

Not to skip around the subject, over the last few years the WSL has positioned itself as a leader in "equality" and pushing the boundaries on being inclusive. Allowing athletes like Tyler Wright to wear the LGBTQ+ flag on her jersey along with push equal pay. 

Now they are seemingly forgetting all that for money. Taking the tour to a location where Tyler could be sentenced to Death. Our view is the event has to be boycott. No athlete on the men's or women's tour should go. Could you support this? We couldn't. Anyway, listen for more thoughts on this. 

Other than this we also talk about the latest and greatest clips to watch.

Episode 116 - We Speak To A World Tour Star... PLUS A Quiksilver Festival Insight 

Both Darren and Matt found themselves on the ground in Hoosegow while the Quiksilver Festival was in town. A huge contract from last year, where we had 25 degree heat and pumping waves daily, this year rain and wind took over and very small onshore conditions ruined the surf. 

This does not stop the fun, from amazing film premiere's from Kael Walsh & Milla Coco Brown to a big Quiksilver Mercury party kept the thoughts off bad waves. 

Hear what we have to say about what went down. 

After this, Darren chats with a world tour star, who... Leo Fioravanti.

Diving into Leo's career, plans for the future and more, it was an honour to speak with him.

Likely to run on Friday, looking at Surfline, we are heading back to Lower Trestles for the WSL Final's Day. 

Love it or hate it, it's happening. Yes we all know Matt has a much better format that the WSL should listen to and adopt but they choose not too, so we live with this situation. 

Looking at a 3-4ft swell, Darren and Matt run a heat by heat prediction for to decide who will be the 2024 WSL Women's and Men's World Champions.
