In this week's episode, Bobby and Sarge discuss the apparent uptick in police suicides. Why are they happening? Are there not programs and assistance available? Or does it boil down to leaders not acting on or recognizing the behavior changes in their officers and addressing them? Even though some officers wouldn't seek help or take it when offered, does this stem from the officer's perception that leadership doesn't care so, why seek help? There are lots of questions remaining, but it does demand the question be asked, does poor leadership contribute to the apparent upswing in reported police suicides?
