Selangor is currently the state with the most advanced and most comprehensive public transport system. With many train lines and public buses available, along with the new Putrajaya MRT and upcoming Shah Alam LRT, almost the whole state is connected and easily accessible. However, this is not the case throughout other states in Malaysia. There's still a long way to go for public transport efficiency.

Rajiv has been quite vocal about his advocacy for public transport with wider coverage, and has put that thought into action with his Kumpool initiative, helping connect the people of Petaling Jaya for highly subsidized rates.
