  • Policy & Chill with Rajiv and Kusha : EP 10 Dissecting Present Scenarios

In this week's episode of Policy & Chill, Rajiv & Kusha will be enlightening us on what's happening currently in Malaysia. Not only do they provide insights of the scenario, they also give their opinions on these topics.

Since the pandemic was drowning people of all walks of life, our Malaysian government did allow the withdrawing of EPF savings to sustain living during the hardest phases of the pandemic. However, there is only less than RM4000 in an average Bumiputera's bank. Where is this leading to?
Najib might be getting a royal pardon and as much as the Unity government has been achieved, are we going to allow someone who stole our money to walk free?

  • Policy & Chill with Rajiv and Kusha : EP 7 Efficiency of Public Transport in Malaysia

Selangor is currently the state with the most advanced and most comprehensive public transport system. However, this is not the case throughout other states in Malaysia. There's still a long way to go for public transport efficiency.

Rajiv has been quite vocal about his advocacy for public transport with wider coverage, and has put that thought into action with his Kumpool initiative, helping connect the people of Petaling Jaya for highly subsidized rates.

  • Policy & Chill with Rajiv & Kusha EP6 : Rental Discrimination in Malaysia

This week on Policy & Chill, Rajiv and Kusha tackle the issue of racial discrimination in Malaysia's property rental market.

As a proud multiracial country, the existence of racism in such a fundamental aspect of life is quite disappointing. Although the principle of equality is included in the Malaysian constitution, the absence of laws against racial discrimination makes it easy for landlords to discriminate against certain races. This is felt most by the Indians as property owners run ads emphasizing "Chinese Only" or "Muslim Only".

Do you think it is fair for the owners to have a right of preference? Or does the government need to step in to stop racial prejudice in the rental market? Tune in to hear Rajiv & Kusha's personal experience and thoughts on this!
