Personal fulfillment and sheer delight can often be found through non-stop news coverage, informative social media posts, and even discussions around the dinner table.
 
But what about those people who run in the other direction due to the dreaded “P” word?  Those who loathe taking any sort of position on the issues of the day due to fear of testy verbal exchanges with friends and family members. Conversations that quickly turn into bloodsports brought into the open because of differing opinions on divisive issues.
 
Denise Gitsham is an experienced political commentator, former White House Aide, author and speaker, who believes that people of faith CAN effectively engage in politics by loving those we disagree with. In her latest book, “Politics for People Who Hate Politics: How to Engage without Losing Your Friends or Your Soul”, Gitsham urges fellow Christian to see this presidential election year as an opportunity to become a healing and unifying time in the nation.
