The book of Proverbs records many illustrations of rewards for simply living a righteous life. For example, righteousness exalts a nation more than political or economic power. Other rewards for righteousness include answered prayer, boldness, perseverance, joy, satisfaction, and deliverance from trouble. Righteousness is so important Jesus died so "that we might die to sin and live to righteousness" (1 Per. 2:24).

This week we look at the false gospel called the social gospel. It is mostly a political ideology that hijacks the true gospel of Jesus and changes it into a political message of something other than personal salvation and life change, into a new false gospel. This false gospel is one of giving governments power to bring "social justice" to the world by claiming that this is Jesus's true message. We look at where this comes from briefly and what scripture has to say about these claims.
