I am convinced: the more fun you have while learning, the more you learn. Learning is not only about information. It's also about your feeling. What would you prefer: learning 10 new words or laughing at one of them for 2 minutes. Sometimes words sound funny.
I can promise you that this word you were laughing at for 2 minutes you will remember much longer than these 10 words. When you have emotions, associations, feelings during any process of your life, you will remember it more and you will learn more from it.
I hacked this idea a long time ago. If I am myself teaching people if I let them be interested, curious, surprised, if they are having a good time, they will never stop learning.
I remember I stopped learning with several tutors because I felt terrible after classes with them. I felt like I sucked, I didn’t know anything and it was a horrible feeling.
It’s not something you should feel when you learn a language. Maybe you have already understood by now that learning a language is not a 1-month journey. It’s something you will have to do for years if you want to reach real fluency and native speaker’s level. Would you prefer to spend these years doing something you hate?
Please, put the feeling on top of your studies. First, feel happy and then learn.
