Redemptive Suffering and Divinization are two keys of the Gospel that make us fearless and hopeful. When your goal is intimacy with God through Jesus Christ you have nothing to fear! Your suffering and death can be offered up in union with Christ as a means of intimacy with God and for the salvation of the world. When you realize that God's ultimate plan for you is to share in his innermost life of Love, then you have immense hope to endure all things for the prize of Heaven. 

Politics and Religion, the two topics most people avoid, are talked about at length by Pat and Eric. In light of the current culture wars, these topics are as relevant as ever.

Among many blind, sick, and lame people, Jesus heals one man who had been ill for 38 years on the Sabbath. This triggers an inquisition from the Pharisees on what authority Jesus has to heal on the Sabbath. Jesus simply does what he sees his Father doing. Let's unpack John 5 together!

The Gospel of John is rich with meaning. Pat and Eric go deep in uncovering some of the hidden gems chapter by chapter of the Gospel of John. May the Spirit enlighten us all to know God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent.

In chapter 2 we uncover Mary's role as an intercessor at the wedding feast at Cana and Jesus performs his first sign turning water into wine. Then he cleanses the temple with dramatic and prophetic intention.
