I have always admired King David of ancient Israel for so many of his attributes and exploits. But I also have been intrigued by his passion for the Lord. When his world seemed to collapse all around him after such a promising youth and early adulthood, David despaired. If David - with all his exceptional gifts and achievements - would look to God for security, strength, and deliverance, why don't we?
