Then Angela joined in a discussion about Korean variety shows and other foreign media we'd like to see in the US (38:40) before recommending a Saudi Arabian romantic comedy called Barakah Meets Barakah (54:19). Finally, all three previewed the television coming in December (1:01:37).

Valerie, Angela and Tatiana have a whole host of topics this week, starting with a Japanese adaptation of Orphan Black (0:30) that's in the works, along with other remakes. We talk the latest Doctor's costume (16:43) and then delve straight into the potential Disney-Fox merger (19:02). Speaking of how everything old is new again, we touch on the new Lord of the Rings show for Amazon (26:17) and how much more Star Wars there can be (30:00). Valerie meanwhile recommends a Welsh language film called The Passing (36:10) and the latest season of The Exorcist (39:55). Finally: we hadn't seen Justice League when we recorded, but we love talking about what we know nothing about! (45:26)

This weeks discussion features our breakdown of the end of Thor's world as he knows it, a review of Thor: Ragnarok, a discussion of the sex scandal and other political matters plaguing both Hollywood and Kdramas, and Tatiana talks about a new Kdrama she's currently enjoying, Because This Is My First Life.

Keeping in mind that Halloween is upon us, Valerie, Angela and Tatiana take the opportunity to first rant about the horrors of having too many different accents in a historical drama (0:33) on this week's Pop A La Carte podcast. Which naturally leads to the even worse terror of white actors playing latinx roles on Supergirl (13:54). But since not everything is awful all the time, we also gush once more about The Good Place (24:30) and the casting for Doctor Who's latest companions (40:33). Valerie then gives a mini review of BBC's Gunpowder (46:59) Finally, we celebrate Halloween early by checking out AMC's streaming service Shudder and visiting WB's Horror Made Here Tour (51:50).

First, Valerie and Tere break down their experience at New York Comic Con (0:39) this year and discuss their favorite rooms. Then Tere schools Valerie and Tatiana in the difference between a true biopic and a fanfic film about a real person, using Professor Marsten and the Wonder Women (17:44) as her case study. After a nice long chat about that, the ladies catch up on their Fall TV (40:07) which includes discussions on Gotham, Lucifer and Berlin Station. It even involves conversation about the Roswell reboot coming down the CW pipeline! Somehow everything goes back to Star Wars (1:05:21) in a way that will no doubt make sense when you listen.

Angela and Tatiana rope WithAnAccent contributor Alice into a special kdrama-only episode that basically turns into a free-for-all. First we dissect the differences between ahjussi and noona romances (0:44) - including some Goblin spoilers - before delving into general quibbles such as mini-episodes and Viki passes (16:46).

Then we start gushing about our favorite kdramas, specifically comparing Queen In Hyun's Man to newer time travel romances like Deserving Of The Name (29:18). At that point, it's time to recommend all the dramas we can think of, including Coffee Prince, My Wife is Having an Affair This Week, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and many more (57:23).

Valerie, Angela and Tatiana start off talking about reboots and sequels in the form of new Men In Black and Blade Runner 2049 (0:47). This naturally leads, as all things do, to a discussion about Marvel and what they might be doing with characters such as the X-Men in the future (8:37). In keeping with our promise to discuss something foreign, Angela and Tatiana then compare ABC's The Good Doctor to the Korean drama its based on (22:15). One good turn deserves another, so we also dive into the changes in season 2 of The Good Place (36:47). Finally Valerie drops her latest exclusive Versailles interview, which includes a scintillating conversation with Jessica Clark, who portrays the vivacious Princess Palantine (47:26).

Valerie and Tatiana overcome their loneliness to talk about the bombshell news that Disney is Agents of SHIELD's savior (0:58). Then we switch gears from Marvel back to DC in order for Tatiana to explain everything we are supposed to know about this year's CW crossover (15:51). Which incidentally includes not just Supergirl, The Flash Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow - but also CW Seed's new show called Freedom Fighters: The Ray. After talking about our favorite comic book properties, we get back to previewing Fall TV returns for the month of October (28:53), and seem to fare better than September at least. Finally, Valerie presents yet another exclusive interview. This time it's with Versailles' Suzanne Clément, who plays newcomer - and poisoner! -

Valerie, Tatiana and Angela discuss the director switch up on Star Wars Episode IX and what we think it means for the franchise (1:06). Then we continue our litany of complaints against Disney's new streaming service and the fact that there are too many of them as is (17:24). Too many streaming options moves us into too many TV options, so we preview the shows premiering this month (34:48).
