POP CULTURE NEWS

This week Pop Base newsletters cover current events in the K-pop industry. The first details the impeachment of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, speculation surrounding NewJeans' potential rebranding as "Jeanz," and an unexpected appearance by NCT's Mark Lee at his own look-alike contest. The second newsletter focuses on the Korean Music Content Association's ban of NewJeans and other artists for contract tampering, LOONA's Hyeju's participation in anti-government protests, and upcoming K-pop releases and events, including award show performances and album releases. Both newsletters also feature music recommendations and upcoming comeback schedules for various K-pop artists.
