Deepti and Sean have been chomping at the bit to talk about this limited Ryan Murphy series about American royalty couple JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy who tragically died in 1999 in a plane crash. This show has flaws (some of the acting...oh boy) but watching it also feels like a warm blanket. You just hunker down and watch and get transported to another world and time and it's the best! Love the return back to the NYC 1990s!! Love seeing the ins and outs of how these two gorgeous people walked through life. Deepti read (errr rather listened to the audiobook) the book the show was based on and tried to fill in some gaps in the show on this Pop Culture Prisoner episode.

Deepti and Sean have caught up with Southern Charm and are a little dismayed by how much the season that started out strong has plateaued! But thank goodness Austen has finally broken up with Audrey...watching Craig get that news was so hilarious. Straight men loving gossip is hilarious. Salley's thirst for Austen was almost...disturbing? Like come on, Salley, cool it a BIT!? Venita - WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH HER??? Is she not living on our same planet? What nonsensical drama is she trying to propel into our eyeballs?? It doesn't make SENSE!!

Deepti and Sean continue to talk about Kyle and Amanda's incessant fighting. Sean is wayyy more "over it" than Deepti is! Deepti is also way more actively perturbed by Kyle's behavior and attitude. NOT to be overshadowed by Deepti's maybe almost illogical irritation by Jesse. West continues to be pretty charming. (But Ciara can do so much better than ALL THESE DUDES on this show!!)

~Jill Zarin Superbowl discussion begins around minute 32.

Sean has just finished Season 3 of RHONY on her first full watch of the show and they discuss the great big Jill-Bethenny fight, the arrival of Sonja Morgan to RHONY, Luann was dating JACQUES at this point in the show, Alex McCord finally got a REAL set of balls this season and started becoming way more aggro on the show...so much good stuff!

Then they discuss the well-deserved firing that Jill Zarin got from the new E! show ("The Golden Life" starring Ramona, Sonja, Luann and Kelly) after her racist tirade against Bad Bunny's Superbowl halftime show performance and the ensuing pathetic attempts at damage control by the other ladies!

Deepti and Sean are thrilled Summer House is back! Amanda and Kyle's marriage will finally officially implode this season and they're off to the most acrimonious start ever in the season opener. New cast members Bailey, Levi and Ben all seem fine so far...time will tell. Deepti and Sean both agree that while Ben is obviously good looking, he REALLY needs a hair glow-up STAT. Carl...Oh Carl. Always rooting for him but...? Ciara uses A LOT of sunscreen.

Deepti and Sean have HIGH HOPES for this season!

Sean is watching RHONY in full for the first time!! Deepti chats with her about her impressions of all the ladies in the first two seasons. Deepti also shares a special little run-in she had last month with one of the cast members!!!!!

Quick note - Deepti and Sean didn't know that some of the ladies just got a deal for Legacy RHONY on E! when they recorded this episode! The news had JUST come out before they started recording.

We're over halfway through this fabulous season of Traitors! Rob Rausch has so far won all of our hearts. YOWZERS. Deepti and Sean think that Candiace has been such a fantastic traitor....UNTIL the end of episode 7 at least. (Many on the internet may disagree with that.) Deepti and Sean delve deeper into what was going on with the cast and Ron Funches and with Dorinda in general. Also - side note...Michael Rappaport has just been trash and Colton suckssss. All this and more all discussed on this 208th episode of Pop Culture Prisoner!

Deepti and Sean cannot stop LOVING the drama on Southern Charm this season. Craig is a monster, Austen is awesome (WELLLL...that's Deepti's opinion, Sean might not fully agree), Rodrigo is finally showing UP for work!, Deepti finally found Whitner attractive in one episode, both Sean and Deepti are still just always so tickled by Patricia (and Whitney - yes they can't help it, he's such a ridiculous human)...the drama with the Salley, Charley and Venita is pretty staged and dumb but somehow it still FULLY has Sean and Deepti's attention. Madison still reigning supreme even though her only storyline is being pregnant. She's just doing such a great job.

TLC dropped a 3 part docu-series on Mary Cosby from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. HOLY CRAP! Deepti and Sean are both FLOOOOORED. Deepti had been following the general "is Mary a cult leader" gossip out there on the internet. But even so, she did not know HOW BAD things were. (If you listen to this Pop Culture Prisoner episode, you basically don't have to watch the doc?!)

The doc splices in parts of the RHOSLC show to help contextualize all these allegations against Mary and things she may have said on the show with what others in the doc say were *really* happening.

This doc is a dOOZY and Deepti and Sean are not sure they can watch Mary the same again on RHOSLC.

Deepti and Sean discuss general thoughts on all the cast members (and friend-of) for the first three episodes. They don't necessarily DISAGREE on Dorit's weaknesses but only one of them still wants her on her screen still; Kyle got a section of ire; Rachel is a REAL queen; AMANDA IS *NOT* A MONEY QUEEN WTF!!!!!!!!!; Erika has a new boyfriend according to the gossip blogs and WWHL; Deepti and Sean discuss thoughts on Boz at length as well as a tangent on a certain Indian comedian in the "news" (i.e. in Deepti's algorithm) lately; Deepti and Sean DISAGREE on the prowess of Jennifer Tilly on the show.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! Thank you for listening this year!!!
