"Baby Driver" might just be the best movie of the summer.
That's right, we said it, and so are more than a few others. (It's also a musical, basically.) Whatever you call it, it's the surprise hit of the summer, at least, thanks in no small part to the work of screenwriter and director Edgar Wright. In this episode, Fanboy, Know-It-All, and special guest Tim Nester (co-host of the Fathers of the Grind podcast) dig into The Cornetto Trilogy director's latest movie and what it is about the movie that makes it such a hit (NO SPOILERS).
The heart of this episode, however, is a deep dive into the superhero genre -- which just might be peaking here in 2017. We look at the history of the genre and examine the current state -- dominated by the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- in order to explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of superhero movies before finally making our predictions for its future.
