Another season of the IPL comes to an end. We had a wonderful season with tonnes of moments to look back on. Gujarat Titans losing their virginity and winning it in the first year were a well oiled machine. But they went against a franchise that took a different approach to their pen and paper. Which led to the Analytics and Captaincy debate. Finally, we chose to come back to cricket and previewed Eng's new Kiwi era as they take on New Zealand in the hope of better things.

The women's cricket World Cup has been fantastic. Loads of close games. Whereas, the men's Test series have all been dull and drab. Somehow, Pakistan did not want to win a home series either. Don't know what to make of it.

The IPL is back. While the hashtag for this year is #YehAbNormalHai - loosely translates to "This is now normal" - nothing about this IPL feels normal. Young captains. MS isn't leading CSK anymore. 2 new teams. Everything feels not normal leading up to the IPL. Probably the most least hyped marketing or advertising campaign so far for any IPL. Nevertheless, a new era begins for many teams. Especially the 2 sides who are up against each other in the opener. A repeat of last year's final. Hope Jadeja starts off to his captaincy tenure at CSK with a win.

Bucket load of Test matches coming our way, that it felt fitting to title it like a Super market end of season sale. Bonus content - We review SA's heroic comeback vs New Zealand to draw the Series and keep their records intact. Though the crux of the episode is around the Par vs Aus, Ind vs SL (Kohli's 100th Test), and WI vs Eng games.
Quite the fun fortnight ahead.

SA travel to NZ after a FIERY series win vs India. But that's a thing of the past now and this side has to look at the future. Which means no having to bow down in front of their next big challenge which is facing the World Champions at their own backyard. The Kiwis are wounded themselves having lost to Bangladesh at home, and are also without 2 key players in captain Kane and seamer Boult. Not to mention that Ross Taylor has called time on his Test Career. Is there a slight opening for SA to walk away with something? A wounded animal is never to be taken lightly and that is just what NZ are right now.
There is a riveting contest ahead over the next fortnight!

A lot of emotions went through our minds and hearts as the auction rallied on the past weekend. But finally, we know the 10 squads and the IPL cant start soon enough. Ani, Anand and I picked our brains reviewing each squad and making a likely 11.

Cricket's BIGGEST carnival is BACK. Sorry purists, but it is what it is. The IPL is an event that creates tornadoes all over the world. The "baap" of entertainment like how initial broadcasters Sony Pictures labelled it. Real visionaries cause that name was given in the initial years. Theres some copywriter somewhere feeling really proud of that tag now. But coming back to the topic, it's time. About 24 hours to go and the Popping Crease has a preview of what the franchises would do!

FIERY. GRITTY. REBORN! Words that describe how South African Test Cricket was against arguably the best Test side in the world right now. They can be proud of how competitive they were this series. And as a South African fan, it gave me tears of joy to see us not just compete but play hard cricket and earn those wins. Test Cricket is always the most entertaining format of the game. Its a mental battle as well as a skill battle. A war of attrition. And Dean Elgar's band of brothers are up to the challenge! On to New Zealand now!

Ah the Ashes is coming to an end. Will it be 4-0. Or can England conjure up a win? Well, we know one thing for certain though. Sam Billings found out how huge Australia is.

OOH WHAT A SERIES ITS SO FAR!! SPICEY! FIERY! Nerve wracking. We have had it all.
From some fine display of Opening Batting by KL Rahul, to a gritty match winning knock by Dean Elgar, this series has ebbed and flowed. I suppose the only thing lacking is good commentary.. or maybe not. Even that's been better than what we have been subjected to hear in most home tests on Star Sports.
Nevertheless, we hope we are keeping you entertained and we have another fun episode as we talk about the Newlands test after what's been an eventful series so far.
