We sat down with Canadian actor, activist, author, and former professional hockey player Harrison Browne for one of our favourite conversations yet.

Harrison made history as the first openly transgender athlete in professional hockey, and now he's making history again as part of the cast of the breakout LGBTQ+ drama Heated Rivalry, playing Connors on the Boston Raiders alongside Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie.

Demi Lovato's It's Not That Deep Tour is in full swing and we had the best night of our lives. Plus she drops the deluxe album and we are breaking it all down. Meghan Trainor also dropped Toy With Me this week and Canadian Icon Ralph releases her new single "Girls Together" and it is very much a summer anthem.

We continue our love for vinyl with a full vinyl unboxing of Jessie Ware's Superbloom because she is a queer icon and we will not be taking questions.

Slay Day is the first ever interactive movie coming to 1,000 theaters in 2027 where the audience votes on who lives and dies and yes we are obsessed with this concept (well, one of us is).

Finally Bill 97 just passed in Ontario making it illegal to sell tickets above face value and Ticketmaster is already delisting resale listings. But what does Bill 97 do, and mean? We break down what this actually means for concert fans and for the freedom of information.

This week on PopTake we are absolutely spoiled.

We break down Olivia Rodrigo's brand new single "Drop Dead" and yes, we are already in our feelings about the new era. Demi Lovato drops "Low Rise Jeans" and it might be the song of the summer. Plus ADÉLA drops "KGB" while opening for Demi on tour. Madonna announced the highly anticipated Confessions II with "I Feel So Free".
Last (but definitely not least) Tyla and Zara Larsson link up for "She Did It Again" and the 2000s Britney energy is completely intentional. 

On the film side, Mother Mary opens today (globally, in Canada next week) with Anne Hathaway as a pop star and music by Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff and it is a lot. Lee Cronin's The Mummy is also in cinemas and this is not the same mummy movie we grew up with. The Avatar: Aang movie got leaked and we're furious.
