For some reason, Hollow Vale wasn’t on the official itinerary, but an old map I had dug up in my research, marked it as a once-thriving mining town. As someone who is an intuitive and is very sensitive to energy...Abandoned mining towns have always freaked me out. I’ve been to several, and I’ve never been to a single one that wasn’t foreboding.There are places that seem to resist the passage of time, where the air hangs heavy with stories too dark to tell. We stayed overnight in an abandoned haunted lighthouse that had been converted into a rental house, Air b n' b. It was the scariest rental property I've ever stayed at!So, if you guys didn’t know, my boyfriend’s name is Travis, and Travis and I needed a break from the city. We wanted to get away from the noise, the traffic, and the constant grind. We didn’t want to fly anywhere far—just a quick drive to somewhere isolated and peaceful. After some searching, we found this old lighthouse on the coast of Maine that had been converted into a rental. It was perfect. Secluded, right on the edge of the ocean, and surrounded by nothing but cliffs and waves. We booked it immediately.
