  • Proverbs 5:15–17 • A Man Will Drink What Is Close
📖 Proverbs 5:15–17 • Solomon has spent an entire chapter painting the strange woman as dark as he can. Now in verse 15, he pivots — because you can't scare a man away from sin. You have to draw him to something better. There was a man who grew up near a freshwater spring on his grandfather's land — cold, clear, running year-round. When he got married, he stopped tending the path to it. The brush grew over the trail. And one day on his way to work, he passed a creek. It looked cool in the summer. At first he just stopped to look. Then one day he drank from it. The water was muddy and dirty. But the path to the spring was overgrown. A man will drink what is close before he will drink what is clean. That's the sermon. The devil doesn't need to light a fire in your heart. He just needs to put something dirty close enough to reach. Proximity will get you before passion ever does. Solomon's answer isn't a fence — it's a well worth coming home to. Tend your marriage. Drink deliberately. Because thirst is a liar, and the mirage always looks real in the desert. This expository message works through Proverbs 5:15–17 and reveals: • Why Solomon can't just scare a man away from the strange woman — he has to draw him to something better • The wife as a sealed fountain and enclosed garden (Song of Solomon 4:12) • Why the sealed garden isn't stuck — sealed means safe • The cistern vs. the well: stored history vs. living spring — and what both picture in a marriage • Why thirst is a liar and the command to drink deliberately • The difference between a wife who loves & a strange woman who performs • Plural fountains of verse 16 — your children are not your legacy, they're his are His

  • What's Your Sodom?
Does God's mercy have an expiration date? Can we live in such a way that God withdraws His mercy? Even though as believers by faith of what Jesus Christ did for us with His crucifixion, His death, His burial and His resurrection we know our salvation is secure. But what about those "sodom" issues that we never repent for? Adultery, pornography, embezzlement, gossip, never reading our Bible, anger without cause, drug and alcohol abuse, etc.... His mercy on Sodom extended down to only finding 10 righteous people but it ceased there. Lot and his family were shown mercy by the angels literally dragging them by their hands/wrist. Lot's wife's mercy ended when she looked back. Please don't linger any longer. Please fix it.

  • God Has Emotions
This sermon confronts the profound moral and spiritual dangers of spiritual compromise, using Genesis 6:1–8 as a lens to warn against romantic and marital alliances with unbelievers, drawing a parallel between the intermarriage of the godly line with the ungodly and the modern temptation of pornography. It emphasizes that God's emotional response to rampant human wickedness—regret, grief, and judgment—reveals His holy sensitivity to sin, while also affirming that salvation is not earned by righteousness but received by grace, as exemplified in Noah's undeserved favor. The passage is interpreted as a sobering call to holiness, urging believers to recognize that their standing before God is not based on personal merit but on Christ's imputed righteousness, and that true transformation comes not from self-effort but from divine grace. Ultimately, the sermon calls the church to honesty, vulnerability, and reliance on Christ, affirming that every believer, despite their struggles, has found favor in God's eyes through faith in Jesus. Outline: 1. Human Wickedness Was Rampant (1-5) 2. God's Emotional Response: Regret, Grieved, Angry (6-7) 3. God's Emotional Response to Noah: Found Favor (8)

  • Weapons Of Warfare
The sermon centers on the reality of spiritual warfare, emphasizing that every believer faces a personal, persistent battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil, with victory rooted not in human strength but in the spiritual weapons provided by God. It highlights that true victory begins in the mind, where thoughts must be brought into captivity to Christ by dismantling ungodly imaginations and high things—anything that usurps God's place in one's life, such as pornography, social media, or pride. The sermon underscores that these weapons—Scripture, prayer, faith, and the indwelling Holy Spirit—are powerful, divinely appointed, and already in the believer's possession, making defeat unnecessary. Ultimately, the call is to actively engage in the battle through spiritual discipline, confronting sin with biblical truth, and embracing a life of obedience rooted in the conviction of God's deep, personal love.

  • The Malignant Woman (Part 2)
This lesson presents a biblically grounded critique of marital dysfunction, centering on the destructive impact of a wife who rejects her God-ordained role of submission, particularly through adultery and incessant nagging, which are portrayed as manifestations of the curse in Genesis 3 and the broader spiritual rebellion against divine authority. Drawing from Proverbs, it emphasizes that such behaviors—whether through premeditated infidelity or persistent quarreling—undermine the home's purpose as a refuge of peace and order, reflecting a deeper spiritual disorder rooted in pride and the desire to usurp God's design. The teacher argues that feminism, far from being a modern movement for equality, is an ancient expression of the serpent's lie, seeking to replace God's authority with human autonomy, and that true marital harmony requires mutual submission under Christ, not competition or self-assertion. While acknowledging the complexity of modern challenges like pornography and interpersonal alienation, the lesson calls for repentance, self-examination, and reliance on the Holy Spirit to restore biblical order in the home, where love, honor, and reverence are not earned but lived out in obedience to God's created design.

  • Porn is Satan Worship
The sermon delivers a urgent, biblically grounded warning against the pervasive epidemic of pornography, framing it as a moral and spiritual crisis that enslaves individuals, fuels sexual violence, and leads to eternal judgment. Drawing on statistics from major platforms, it emphasizes the widespread addiction among men and women, linking pornography use to harmful attitudes, abuse, and the erosion of marriage and human dignity. Rooted in Scripture—particularly passages from Proverbs, Matthew, 1 Corinthians, and Ephesians—it argues that viewing pornography constitutes adultery in the heart, aligns with satanic influence, and excludes unrepentant users from the kingdom of God. Yet, amid the severity of divine judgment, the message pivots to the redemptive power of Christ, affirming that no one is beyond the reach of grace, and calling all who are enslaved to repent, believe in Jesus, and find deliverance through faith and the transforming grace of God.
