We were on CBC radio this morning!

The Mars rover Curiosity recently found a bright object on the ground when it was scooping up samples.  Our class was wondering what the object could be.  Here are a few of our ideas.

Two classes in two cities in New Zealand worked together to create an obstacle challenge.  You can see videos of how they did at: The Ins and Outs and 7 Wonders 2012.

We, here in Ottawa, Canada, decided to try the challenge.  The idea was to get as many kids as possible through the obstacle course in fifteen minutes. I think we did pretty well!

On Thursday, May 24, 2012, Tom Angleberger Skyped our Grade 5 class. He’s the author of many books including The Strange Case of Origami Yoda, Darth Paper Strikes Back, The Secret of the Fortune Wookie and Fake Mustache. Thanks for visiting our class through Skype, we enjoyed learning how to fold an emergency origami Yoda and talking with you about writing.
