O Come, O Come Emmanuel

That mourns in lonely exile here, Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

Lonely Exile
The sadness the world experiences is the result of the presence of sin.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
