Sneed emphasizes key themes: reconciliation requires admitting guilt; believers should appeal for mercy based on God’s character, who “delighteth in mercy”; cleansing must be inward, asking God to create a clean heart rather than merely stopping symptoms; and those reconciled should desire the same for others, embracing the ministry of reconciliation from 2 Corinthians 5.
