Though the recent hurricanes had severe impacts on the infrastructure of the various countries and the lives of their people, Santa Lucia was untouched. Sadly, in places like Puerto Rico, there have been more than 4,000 foreclosures and a huge drop in prices. This may be an opportune time to look into investing in their real estate market. Is it better to list your home for sale this winter, or should you wait for the spring market? Actually, we sell more houses in December than any other time of year. There are a few benefits to listing your home in the winter market. For instance, in January and February, listings increase by about 45%. Today we have big news to share for the entire city of Portland. On January 1st, 2018, the City of Portland Home Energy Score program will officially take effect. Under this program, home sellers will be required to hire an assessor to come to their home, assess its energy efficiency, and have them award a score based on the home’s efficiency.
