I speak to long time friend Andrew Potts on his remarkable positivity despite having discovered he had a brain tumour four year ago and is currently under going daily radiotherapy. His daily diaries on Twitter https://twitter.com/andypotts1981 have given hope to many that life after a discovery like his can still be good. Yet another person on here that attributes sport and fitness with playing a big part in staying in both physical and metal shape.
I talk to Rie about her move from serving in the police to now campaigning to increase education on domestic abuse and how to spot it.
Her Book - Be Kind, No Excuses, takes the stories of abused women and picks out the warning signs to watch out for. She explains that these can start on the first date and escalate into far greater things.
Written as a guide to hopefully be used in education her book can be bought here https://www.riepearson.com/shop Buy a copy for your self or buy a copy and put DONATE in your purchase to have Rie send a copy directly to a woman's prison or refuge! Rie's hope is that any new relationship is started on a sound footing.
What an amazing chat I had with this Goodfella.
Chris talked about the clarity he has gotten from his terminal diagnosis and explains why he thinks that he has more to smile about than most at the moment.
He has been busy running to raise money for Children with Cancer UK and is just about to do the London Marathon but has already smashed his original £10,000 target ( https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=johnsoc1&pageUrl=1 ).
When not being an awesome fundraiser he is enjoying time with his kids watching Marvel Movies ( https://amzn.to/3kZD8Bi ) and his hope his kids is just that they just remember him as being kind. I have to be honest after speaking to Chris I really think he far cooler than Clarence is in one of his fave films True Romance ( https://amzn.to/3kXTri5 )

With an ultimate goal of giving up the day job to allow him to commit full time to his mission his ultimate goal is to be donated a couple of suits by Ant and Dec.

Iain Nairn picked up his MBE in the 2021 Queens Honours for his contribution to physical disabilities cricket.
From crying through the final over of the World Cup winning match to drinking “legs of ale” in the changing room he gives a masterclass in remaining positive despite all odds. Staggeringly to say that he actually feels lucky to have lost his foot as it opened doors for him without changing his life too much.
Admittedly an emotional person he also does not share his emotions too much and tries instead to keep his emotions level to avoid peaks and troughs but does warn of the risks of walking around with a dangerous weapon and on how much it can hurt to clip your other ankle.
He closes with disclosing his biggest source of inspiration is to receive a smile and to send one back! You can learn how to smile and really mean it here https://amzn.to/2X97wjC (Paid promotion - all proceeds to charity)
