Tandy Grandstaff is Pastor Tim's bride, and help plant Genesis Church Orlando. Tandy joins the podcast to discuss the topic, Is Christianity Boring?
Their discussion stems from John 2:1-12 where Jesus begins his public ministry by turning water into wine! Because it was mother's day, we hone in on Mary's conversation with Jesus wanting him to do "something".
There is so much symbolism in this miracle but the book of John focuses it's attention on the SIGNS!
Are we seeing the signs or are we too focused on wanting the big miracle that we are missing the small signs of God?

For many people they have allowed a lot of their pain, trauma, hurt, addictions, etc to determine the course of their future. They spend some time talking about Shame and how shame holds so much weight over us if we do not properly learn how to overcome it.
They dive into the story of the Prostitute woman fearlessly pursues Jesus and pours everything before him at his feet. They also talk about the Pharisee in this story that had an opposite reaction.
Pastor Johnny shares his testimony on how he did not allow shame, guilt and fear of his failure to determine his future.

In Luke 5: 10-11 the scene is set with Jesus coming to Peter, James and John's occupation, the boat. We also go through John 15: 4-8 where Jesus is speaking to his disciples days before he is crucified and Jesus in both instances speaks about what discipleship is all about, ABIDING!
Discipleship comes down to Abiding! Jesus asks us to Abide in Him.
