Religious structures, guilt, and other impediments can keep you stuck in a place where you're building someone else's dream. Do you need your identity affirmed in the love of God? Do you need to release ideas about God and shame that stem from the story of the Garden of Eden?  For the sexual violence survivor, especially a survivor who grew up in a fundamentalist Christian church, shame and God can become inextricably entwined.
