We’re going to look at the next “heart posture” today which is the heart that LOOKS UP! It sounds too simple, right? I actually think that God did intend for it to be simple but we live in a noisy world where we can SEE everything and we have to learn to clear the view… What does it look like to learn the habit of looking up and inviting God to LOOK AT YOU? What do we need to be looking to Him for? We’ll also learn that MOVEMENT IS HEALING! Just like our bodies need to move to heal, our hearts must also move towards our Creator. Sometimes it just takes looking up! These are all things we’ll talk about today as we take in what it means to have a heart postured towards Him, gazing at Him with the eyes of our soul. Season 2 Ep 36 - Postures of the Heart Part 2

It is from Isaiah 61, and we’ll come around the vital posture of being planted in the Lord, and staying deeply connected to Him at our roots! Season 9 Episode 7 // For Your Splendor

I have LOVED this spring series so much! God has been reminding me of truth that He set in my heart, so long ago, knowing that I would need that truth to wash over me again, TODAY! We are going to remember together, that God always knows where to find us. Though there’s much temptation to just skip being made in the secret place (especially when we see the world around us charging forward!) God is preparing us, protecting us and will promote us when we wait in trust for Him. 

We will also look into the connection of God’s presence being one of the central ways that we are able to remain in the love of God, as Jesus commanded us. It’s going to be a beautiful time to even receive His love over us once more! I’ll talk to you soon!  Listen to 'You Revive Me'

Season 9 Episode 6 // Be Loved

Today we are celebrating the release of another EP called “Knees to the Earth,” which is the next three songs from the "Live from Keeper's Branch" album  that we are unfolding this spring! Not only are these songs so sacred to us, many of them have very sacred stories behind them and today’s song emphasis, “Knees to the Earth,” is definitely one of those kind of stories! You don’t want to miss it!  And you know me, it’s never just about the song or its story, but it’s always about the truth that’s set in them! Today we’ll keep coming around what it looks like to bloom where we are planted, even when it’s hidden and hard! Season 9 Episode 5 // Knees to the Earth

Okay so…somehow this episode got really personal! Did I actually just reveal what I want my “Grandma” name to be, someday?  Or, maybe it feels personal because this song, “Lord, I Need You”, that we’ll come around today, is very dear to me! I’ll talk about being a part of writing it around a table of dear friends, who have been more like brothers to me. But, I’ll also give you some insight into being the only woman at that table, and in that community, for a very long time. It was both a privilege and a pruning ground that God used to grow me as a woman, songwriter and leader.  I’ll also begin a narrative that I’ll carry throughout some of the other episodes this spring, about the very beginnings of God calling me to songwriting and worship leading. Rather than doors flying open and me, running with momentum, it was more a still—even sometimes silent and hidden—beginning. It was more that God had given me a deposit and a promise of something that was to come. Season 9 Episode 4 // Lord I Need You

I am so excited to continue this spring series, coming around my new EP,  “You Revive Me”, available everywhere you listen to music! Y’all know me by now, that these songs are simply a diving board for us to plunge into the deep together! Into the glorious things of God…right in the middle of our mundane! Today we will do just that, as we come around the beautiful offering that each of us have to bring, in worship of our King. In each episode, we’re taking the time to put into practice the truth we’re remembering together. 

Today we’ll ask God to help us visualize— and therefore, hopefully value— the offering that our lives and hearts truly are to Him!
