The early parts of Mercedes adult life were shaped by the worlds ideas of what success and value meant. Dreaming of going to college and building a career, Mercedes began to leave less and less room for God in her life. Ultimately, this lead to her leaving the church for a brief time. But God, had a plan for her life! She began to find herself not feeling fulfilled in these efforts, ultimately leading to depression. She felt the draw of God on her life and came back to the church fully surrendered to Him and whatever His plans were. She now serves faithfully in church and finds peace and joy in life through Christ!

Our sister Bianca shares with us her testimony of the goodness and faithfulness of God. For much of her young adult life she admittedly was a luke-warm Christian, but God radically got ahold of her when she found her husband addicted to fentanyl and struggling to raise their young daughter alone amongst the fear and anxiety. She surrendered it all to the Lord and held fast to His promises. God delivered Bianca and her family from those trials through their steadfast faith in Him and they now serve faithfully at The Potters House.
