Brain Vomit

Pournal 32: Learning About Hope and Resiliency From a Marine Corp Veteran

Listen Later

In the thirty-second podcast journal of Brain Vomit, I get the pleasure of speaking with a Veteran. Our conversation does NOT revolve around his active duty time but instead his battle with drug addiction and mental demons. Dave tells us about his life struggles as a teenager and what he learned from it and then how the Marines helped him straighten his life out. Unfortunately, as Dave left the Marines, he was sucked back into a world of heavy drug use and lost it all. We end by talking about how he is happy; he struggled and faced these challenges because it helped him become the man he is today. TRIGGER WARNING: Suicide is discussed, so if you believe mentally, you are not prepared for that conversation, do not listen. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255 or Text: 838-255Daves Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/58pZvHMu94ZfJL8Xe6PQ5o?si=9RN4qkHOSoOgQi6tW-J_mgThanks for listening to our brain vomit, and I hope it has helped you reflect and analyze the chaotic mind you live with.
