When I first started this podcast almost three years ago, I wanted to help  I wanted to help fathers and husbands to find their inner power.  I wanted to help them find hope again.  I wanted them to be able to start over, to LIVE UNBROKEN.  

Not long ago my calling faltered.  I felt like I was on the verge of giving in to self-loathing, self-doubt, frustration and futility.  I stood face to face with the storm itself.  How did I find the courage and the strength  to scream back a warrior's yawp into the face of the storm?  Listen now!

As fathers, we spend literally decades raising our children.  We teach them, we guide them, we clean up after them and we help them.  We push them to be their best, we worry about them constantly and we do our best to set a powerful and positive example.  Then they turn 18, graduate from High School...

A friend asked me the question the other day, "What does it mean to be a successful father?'  It made me think.  Isn't that a goal we all have?  But then isn't it also a goal that evades definition?  What does it really mean to be a "successful father" and what does that look like?  Recent events with a prominent masculinity show host have shown us all how to NOT be a successful father, but that really isn't the point.  Let's take a look at the journey we all need to take.
