In this episode of Power Through the Mess, I explore what it really means to set boundaries from a place of self-respect rather than survival.
So often, boundaries are framed as walls — built after we’ve been hurt, disappointed, or exhausted. But boundaries rooted in fear can keep us guarded, defensive, and disconnected from ourselves. In this conversation, I talk about the shift that happens when boundaries come from love instead — love for your peace, your energy, and your emotional well-being.
This episode is about learning to listen to your body, trust your intuition, and honor your limits without guilt or explanation. It’s about understanding that boundaries don’t make you cold, difficult, or closed off — they make you clear.
If you’ve ever struggled with people-pleasing, over-explaining, or feeling responsible for how others respond to your needs, this episode will meet you right where you are.

In this episode of Power Through the Mess, I open up about a season of quiet, loss, and self-reckoning — and the truth about what really happens when you choose yourself.
I talk honestly about the desire to be chosen, the patterns we unknowingly repeat in relationships, and the confusion that comes from inconsistency — especially when love feels different in private than it does in public. This episode isn’t about blaming anyone. It’s about recognizing where self-abandonment shows up, how isolation can be part of the process, and what alignment actually looks like on the other side.
Choosing yourself doesn’t always feel empowering at first. Sometimes it costs you connections, friendships, and familiarity. Sometimes it brings silence before it brings clarity. But in that quiet, something truer begins to form.
If you’ve ever felt like you were asking to be chosen instead of choosing yourself — this conversation is for you.

Power Through the Mess — Season 3 Finale
“A Soft Ending, A True Beginning”
Season 3 comes to a close with honesty, gratitude, and reflection.
This episode isn’t a recap — it’s a thank-you, a release, and a blessing.
When I started Power Through the Mess, I was in a season where I felt lost. I didn’t have answers. I just needed somewhere to process out loud. Along the way, this podcast became a space for truth, healing, and learning how to choose myself — even when it was uncomfortable.
In this finale, I share what this season taught me:
• the importance of showing up for yourself
• choosing yourself without guilt
• honoring pauses instead of forcing progress
• trusting quiet seasons of preparation
• and recognizing that growth doesn’t always look pretty while it’s happening
I also want to say thank you — deeply — to everyone who stayed, listened, supported, and held space in ways big and small. This community may be small, but it is meaningful, and I don’t take that lightly.
Important note:
Many Season 3 episodes were pre-recorded during this journey. I’ll be releasing the remaining episodes as a batch soon. I know it’s a little unconventional since this is technically the ending — but I still want to share what I learned along the way. Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t.
If this year stretched you too, I hope this episode reminds you of something simple and powerful:
You made it through.
And that matters.
Thank you for being here.
Season 4 is coming — from a place of truth, integration, and lived wisdom.

🎙 Show Notes: Season 3, Episode 1 – Not Pretty But Still Worthy
The glow-up doesn’t always look like the highlight reel. Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it doesn’t look pretty at all. But it’s still worthy.
In this episode, Evelyn Michelle opens Season 3 of Power Through the Mess with raw honesty about her own journey—losing over 100 pounds, facing shame from family and relationships, and realizing that the real glow-up starts inside, not outside. She shares the “deep, dark secret” she’s been keeping (her quiet creative glow-up), and what stepping into this new chapter is requiring of her: discipline, organization, belief, and the courage to bet on herself.
If you’ve ever felt like your glow-up doesn’t measure up, this episode will remind you that the messy middle still counts.
⸻
✨ In this episode you’ll hear:
• Why the glow-up isn’t about before-and-after photos.
• The moment Evelyn realized she had to change—for her kids and for herself.
• The shame she carried, where it came from, and how she’s releasing it.
• The “quiet glow-up” she’s stepping into now (yes, she’s creating music 🎶).
• Practical tools that are helping her in this season: schedule blocking, small disciplines, and the courage to believe in herself even when it looks crazy to others.

✨ Whether you’re new here or have been walking with me since Season 1—thank you. You are proof that even in the middle of the mess, we are still glowing.
This might be the shortest episode of the season, but it's still real.
In this raw, unfiltered reflection, I talk about what it really means to "become her"-not through perfection or performance, but through presence.
Not with a blueprint, but with breath.
This one's soft. Short. And from the heart!
Sometimes even your healing becomes too small. This episode is about the moment you outgrew the life you prayed for-the version of you that was built on strategy, structure, and survival. We're diving into what it really means to surrender the plan, losses your grip on the blueprint, and evolve into a version of yourself that isn't controlled by fear, performance, or past patterns. This is about spiritual alignment over expectation. It's about walking away from what no longer fits-even if it once felt like everything you wanted-and choosing the unknown, because that's where your soul is pulling you now.
You've journaled, manifested, healed, surrendered-done the work.
But what if the universe isn't asking you to do more?
What if it's asking you to release the grip...and receive?
In this episode of Power Through the Mess, Evelyn Michelle cracks open the illusion of "perfect alignment" and unpacks the hidden fear behind over-performing your healing. With story, softness, and soul, she takes you into the truth we rarely say out loud:
We trust the universe-but only if it follows our plan.
Through a deeply personal moment (flat tire, mango cups, and all), this episode explores what it really means to let life surprise you... and how the miracle often comes in the form you didn't script.
If you've ever felt like you were doing everything "right" but still holding your breath for a breakthrough, this one's for you.
It's not about giving up on the dream.
It's about letting go of your grip on how it's supposed to arrive.
So breathe.
Soften.
And leave a little space for the unexpected.
Dedicated to the woman who taught me how to
hold power in silence.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Grandma.
I carry your strength in every word.
Some truths don't come from books or teachings.
They live in your bones.
This episode is about the truths that have always whispered beneath the surface-the knowing that was never taught but always felt.
We talk about the ways we disconnect from ourselves in order to survive, the spiritual wisdom that's often labeled or dismissed, and the moment you realize...you've always known.
This isn't about becoming something new.
It's about remembering what the world tried to make you forget.
Journal prompts, real reflections, and a reminder that your truth was never lost-just buried.
We all have a vision-a checklist, a blueprint, an image in our mind of what love should look like. But what happens when you realize you've been settling for people who only meet the image, not your depth?
In this episode, we're burning the blueprint. Because being fully met in love isn't about surface compatibility-it's about emotional safety, presence, energy, alignment, and someone who sees the whole you and says, "I'm ready for this. I want to hold it."
This is for the woman who's done performing for love.
Done proving her worth.
Done shrinking to be chosen.
You're not asking for too much.
You're asking to be met at the level you already offer.
You thought softness was about being quiet, passive, or gentle? Think again.
Softness demands courage.
It demands presence.
It demands that you stop performing strength and actually learn how to be with yourself when the mask comes off.
In this episode, we're peeling back the layers on what it really means to walk in soft power-not the aesthetic, not the tree,
but the real, embodied choice to feel deeply and still choose grace over force.
If you've ever wondered why staying soft feels so hard when you've had to survive... this one's for you.
We're talking nervous system safety, emotional availability, divine feminine energy, and how softness isn't weakness-it's strategy.
Come sit with me in this space where we don't armor up-we unravel.
And in the unraveling? That's where the power finds you.
