Josh Matavesi joins us on the podcast talking us through his rugby journey from the working class town of Camborne in Cornwall, to playing International rugby.
Josh talks us through his rugby journey and how rugby became a way of life within his family. With his father also playing rugby for Fiji in the 80's, Josh followed in his footsteps and earned a total of 23 international caps for Fiji. He's been to 2x world cups and has currently made nearly 200 professional club appearances.
Josh digs into the week leading up to a game when being involved on match day. Touching on the professional environment, absorbing knowledge from other senior players to help his self development.
With a couple more years in the tank, Josh has a lot more rugby left in him and its great to hear that fire and love for the game is still burning strong. Currently he's enjoying living back down in Cornwall while commuting up to Bath. As a respected member of the Cornish rugby community, many are very proud of him for his achievements so far and is considered a true role model for our future generation.
It was a pleasure having Josh join us on the podcast, so laid back and all round top lad.
