The prayer of examen is a way of praying in which God graciously reveals to us the ways in which he is inviting us into new life.
Prayer isn't firstly a tool we utilize to awaken an inactive God. Prayer is firstly the means by which we experience God's activity personally and join God's redemptive work in the world.
Prayer can be intimidating and difficult but learning to pray is worth every effort. We start a new series on prayer where Jesus suggested his disciples start when it comes to prayer: The Lord's Prayer.
Rest is not merely the absence of work. The practice of rest involves intentionally delighting in God's good world.
We ought to be as intentional about our rest as we are about our work. This is a value rooted in the history of God's people from as early on as the exodus.
Our faith intersects with the kind of work we do and the excellence with which we do it.
Work is hard and can be discouraging. How are we to respond to these difficulties? Jesus gives us good direction in this matter.
Part 1 of our new series titled Co-Creators. We unpack why your work matters to God and why God ought to matter to your work.
We conclude our series in the Sermon on the Mount with some reflections on the call to discipleship.
Part 12 of our series exploring the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus shares with us the alternative response to "judgmental-ism" and passive indifference when people fall short.
