What does it really mean to follow Jesus?
Drawing from Jesus’ words in Matthew 16:24, Dorian Harris explores the three essential marks of Christian discipleship: denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following Christ.
This challenging message asks whether Jesus truly occupies the driving seat of our lives. Are we prepared to choose His plans over our own, forgive when we have been hurt and remain faithful when following Him carries a cost?
Dorian reminds us that discipleship is not simply a one-time decision. It is a daily choice to surrender ourselves to Christ, live as He lived and reflect His love through our thoughts, words and actions. Jesus does not merely ask for part of our lives—He calls us to follow Him wholeheartedly.
Richard Tucker explores what the Bible really teaches about tithing, generosity and Christian stewardship.
Moving from Abraham, Jacob and Malachi to the teaching of Jesus and Paul, Richard explains that ten per cent can be a valuable starting discipline—but New Testament giving is intentional, willing, proportionate and sometimes sacrificial. It is not about coercion, funding religious institutions or trying to manipulate God into making us prosperous.
Christian generosity begins with recognising that God is the true owner and we are His stewards. Our finances, possessions, abilities, work and entire lives belong to Him. The challenge is not simply, “How much should I give?” but, “Does God truly have all of me?”
When life feels overwhelming, we can remain confident that we are safe in the hands of Jesus.
Drawing on John 13:3, Psalm 56:9, Romans 8:31 and the feeding of the five thousand, Doreen Jessop encourages us to trust God’s promises rather than measure our circumstances by natural limitations. She explains how surrendering what we have to Jesus allows Him to work through our lives, fulfil His purposes and turn even our trials into opportunities to bless others.
Whatever you are facing, God is for you, He is already in your tomorrow, and His hands remain open to receive you.
In this message from Powerhouse Christ Church, Alec Depledge explores the moment Jesus met and healed a man described as being “full of leprosy”.
Drawing together the accounts found in Matthew, Mark and Luke, Alec examines four important parts of the story: the man’s condition, his confidence in Jesus, the connection created through Jesus’ touch, and the confirmation that his life had genuinely changed.
The man was rejected by society and considered untouchable, yet Jesus was not repelled by him. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out, touched him and declared, “I am willing. Be clean.”
This message reminds us that Jesus still cares deeply about individuals. Whatever our physical, emotional or spiritual condition, what affects us matters to him. Christianity is not simply about ceremonies, rules or religious observance; it is about a living connection with Jesus Christ.
Alec also explores why genuine testimony, evidence and authenticity matter. God’s work should not merely be claimed—it should produce recognisable change.
Jesus does not only have the power to act, or the willingness to act. Through the power of testimony, we can declare what he has already done.
God’s mission can begin with one simple step of faith.
In this special Philippines update from Powerhouse Christ Church, Richard speaks with Gordon about the work he and Marlene are supporting in their local community, including a growing Saturday children’s ministry and their connection with local churches.
James also shares how an unexpected conversation developed into plans for a wider mission to the Philippines. Together with Elizabeth and other members of the team, he will meet local pastors, support church leaders and take part in evangelism, prison outreach, youth ministry and community events.
This encouraging conversation explores what happens when ordinary people make themselves available to God, step beyond their comfort zones and trust the Holy Spirit to work through them. It also offers practical encouragement for sharing Jesus naturally with the people around us.
Please pray for the team’s protection, wisdom and humility, and that everything accomplished will bring glory to Jesus.
In Victory Over Spiritual Strongholds, we explore how the enemy uses lies, fear, discouragement and negative thought patterns to gain influence over our minds.
Drawing on passages including 2 Corinthians 10, Ephesians 6, James 4 and Philippians 4, this message explains why spiritual battles cannot be won through willpower alone. Victory comes through submitting fully to God, knowing the truth of Scripture, putting on the armour of God and developing a persistent life of prayer.
Whatever stronghold you may be facing, God’s power is greater. Through Jesus Christ, freedom, transformation and lasting victory are possible.
What must we let go of before God can do something new in our lives?
In Doncaster Shall Be Saved, Richard Tucker shares an encouraging Christian message about spiritual renewal, surrender and making room for God’s purpose. Speaking at Powerhouse Christ Church in Doncaster, Richard challenges Christians to examine the attitudes, habits, hurts and hidden struggles that may be holding them back.
Drawing on the stories of Abraham and Peter, together with passages including 2 Chronicles 7:14, Joshua 3:5 and John 17, this sermon explores how personal transformation can prepare the Church to bring hope, healing and positive change to its community.
In this message, discover:
• Why God sometimes asks us to release the old before receiving something new
• How failure does not cancel God’s purpose for your life
• Why humility, prayer, repentance and unity matter
• How Christians can become a blessing to their communities
• Why the Church should bring hope rather than simply criticise the world
• How God restored Peter and used him powerfully after his failure
Whether you are a committed Christian, exploring faith or wondering whether God can still use you, this message offers hope: your past does not have to define your future. God’s correction is not condemnation. It is an invitation to healing, renewal and a fresh start.
What might God be asking you to clear out so you can make room for what comes next?
